1. Who We Are

Hifadhi (hifadhi.co.ke) is a marketplace for professional document templates operated in Kenya. We process personal data in accordance with the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019.

2. Data We Collect

• Account data - your name, email address, and profile picture, received from Google when you sign in.
• Transaction data - templates you buy or sell, amounts, and payment references. Card and M-Pesa details are handled by Paystack; we never see or store them.
• Payout data - the M-Pesa phone number you provide for withdrawals.
• Technical data - IP addresses in server and download logs, used for security and fraud prevention.

3. How We Use It

To operate your account, process purchases and payouts, email you purchase confirmations and sale notifications, moderate content, prevent fraud, and improve the platform. We do not sell your personal data.

4. Sharing

We share data only with service providers needed to run the platform: Google (authentication), Paystack (payments), our hosting provider, and our email delivery service. Buyers and sellers see each other's public name and profile picture on transactions and reviews.

5. Cookies

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

6. Retention and Security

Account and transaction records are kept while your account is active and as required for tax and legal purposes. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored on access-controlled servers.

7. Your Rights

Under the Data Protection Act you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and may object to certain processing. Contact us to exercise these rights and we will respond within 30 days.
